Analogue unveils the Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+, pre-orders open October 19
Analogue announced the Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+ on Friday, October 16, 2026, updated versions of its FPGA consoles dedicated to the Super Nintendo and the Mega Drive respectively. The original Super Nt launched in 2017 and the Mega Sg was announced in 2018, and both were discontinued in 2022. They are now returning after four years away.
Pre-orders open on Monday, October 19, 2026 at 8 a.m. Pacific time on the official Analogue website, with shipping expected in December 2026. Pricing was not given in the announcement as relayed by the specialist press, so check the store on opening day for the exact price. The consoles play Super Nintendo, Super Famicom, Sega Genesis, Mega Drive and Master System cartridges.
What changes compared with the originals
Analogue says the FPGA architecture was engineered in-house from scratch. The announced additions are built-in Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless, a reworked industrial design, OS and packaging, USB-C power in place of Micro-USB, and a USB-A port that makes connecting a DAC easier. Some reader comments mention output still capped at 1080p and a lack of Analogue 3D features such as save states, but Analogue has not confirmed these points: wait for reviews and the full spec sheet before pre-ordering.
