The AYANEO Pocket Micro 2 is back in stock... and sold out again within minutes

On July 10, 2026 at 8:00 PM PDT, AYANEO reopened pre-orders for its compact retro handheld, the Pocket Micro 2, which had sold out during its initial launch in late June. This new batch introduces a brand-new Stardust Purple finish alongside the already-known Frosty White and Midnight Black colorways.

Pricing stays close to launch levels: the 6GB RAM / 128GB storage model starts at $239 as a launch offer ($269 retail), the 8GB/256GB model at $279 ($309 retail), and the new Stardust Purple 8GB/256GB edition climbs to $309 as a launch offer ($339 retail). First shipments are expected by late August 2026.

Just like at launch, available stock proved extremely limited: according to an AYANEO community representative, this new pre-order batch was described as "extremely limited," and every single unit on offer sold out within minutes, once again leaving many hopeful buyers empty-handed.

Sticking to the compact horizontal form factor reminiscent of the Game Boy Micro, the Pocket Micro 2 keeps the glass front panel characteristic of AYANEO devices, a borderless display, and redesigned shoulder triggers that wrap slightly around the corners of the shell for extra comfort in hand.
