AYN Raises Prices on Thor, Odin 3 and Odin 2 Portal Starting July 3

Manufacturer AYN has announced a new round of price increases across its entire Android handheld lineup, the Thor, Odin 3 and Odin 2 Portal, effective Friday, July 3, 2026 at 10am Beijing time. This marks the second price hike of the year for these devices, following an earlier increase of up to $40 back in March.

On the Thor, every variant goes up by $10, except for the Max 1TB model, which jumps by $30: the Thor Lite now costs $259, the Thor Base $329, the Thor Pro $409, the Thor Max 512GB $479, and the Thor Max 1TB $579. The Odin 3 and Odin 2 Portal both rise uniformly by $10, bringing the Odin 3 Base to $349, the Odin 3 Pro to $449, the Odin 3 Max to $499, and the Odin 2 Portal Base to $259.

AYN attributes the hike to a persistent shortage of RAM and storage chips across the component market, a squeeze several industry analysts expect could last until 2028. Another consequence of the shortage: upcoming production batches will use UFS 3.1 storage chips, a step down from the UFS 4.0 found in launch units.
