Banjo-Kazooie’s “Lighthouse” PC Port Arrives in July with Built-In Randomizer, Online Co-Op, and Mod Support
The Harbour Masters are back. The team behind native PC ports of Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Majora’s Mask has unveiled Lighthouse, a native PC port of Banjo-Kazooie slated for July 2026. The announcement came through a YouTube teaser posted on June 13, 2026.
Lighthouse is built on the 2024 Banjo-Kazooie decompilation project, giving it a significant modding advantage: the human-readable source code unlocks deep modifications not possible with a recompile. From launch, the port will support ROM hacks via the built-in “Banjo’s Backpack” tool, along with high framerates, ultrawide support, preserved glitches, and Steam Deck compatibility. A legally owned copy of the game is required to extract assets.
Online co-op, randomizer, and community-first design from day one.
The headline feature is a standalone randomizer at launch, capable of shuffling Jiggies, Jinjos, Mumbo Tokens, musical notes, and abilities across every level. Online co-op will also be available from release. Archipelago cross-game randomizer support is in the pipeline for a future update.
