Evercade and Super Pocket: Blaze Announces UK and EU Price Increase

British publisher Blaze Entertainment announced on July 10, 2026 a price increase for its Evercade cartridges and Super Pocket console across the UK and the European Union. Cartridges are rising from £19.99 to £24.99 in the UK, and from €24.99 to €29.99 in the eurozone, while the Super Pocket climbs from £49.99 to £59.99 in the UK and from €59.99 to €69.99 in Europe.

The increase does not affect the US market, where prices remain unchanged at $29.99 for cartridges and $69.99 for the Super Pocket, as recent tariff reductions have helped offset some of the cost pressure there. Blaze also notes that all Evercade cartridges, including the previously pricier "Giga Carts", will now be sold at a single flat rate.

In a statement, Blaze CEO Andrew Byatt explained that the decision was not taken lightly: the company says it has absorbed rising manufacturing, component and freight costs "for as long as possible" before having to pass some of that burden on to UK and European customers. The culprit is a sharp spike in DRAM and NAND flash memory pricing that industry analysts have tracked throughout 2026.

The EXP-R, VS-R, Evercade Alpha and the upcoming Nexus console are not affected by this pricing change for now.
