AYANEO misses its September shipping target for the KONKR Pocket Advance
After unveiling its KONKR Pocket Advance, a self-described Game Boy Advance clone running Android, AYANEO is facing fresh production delays. The manufacturer had already pushed the start of shipping from late August to September 10, 2026, due to an unexpected manufacturing issue; it has now announced, late in the month, that only 50 to 60% of preorders will ship by the end of September, with the rest pushed back to after October 7.
That new date lines up with the end of China's Golden Week, the national holiday running from October 1 to 7, during which production and logistics in the country typically slow down. The Peach and Onyx Ice colorways, announced later, aren't expected to be available before the 2026 holiday season.
Late communication frustrates the community
What frustrated buyers most wasn't the delay itself, but the timing of the announcement, coming very late in September, well after the originally promised shipping date had already passed. Several customers voiced their frustration on social media, and some reportedly canceled their preorders, with AYANEO yet to comment on any potential compensation.
