My Arcade's Gamestation Retro Go Arrives on 31 October for 199 Dollars

My Arcade unveiled its Gamestation Retro Go at CES in January 2025 without ever confirming when it would ship. The American manufacturer settled the matter on 2 September 2026: the handheld launches on 31 October 2026 at 199 dollars, with pre-orders already live at GameStop.

The machine takes on a Switch-like shape, with controllers on each side and an 8-inch 4:3 display, an aspect ratio that suits its library since the Gamestation Retro Go ships with more than 200 preloaded games. An internal rechargeable battery handles portable sessions, and the whole thing follows the familiar Gamestation presentation, somewhere between miniature cabinets and licensed compilations.

The line-up itself is the biggest surprise. Capcom and Bandai Namco share the same device, with Pac-Man, Galaga, Pole Position, Dig Dug, Street Fighter II, Mega Man and Final Fight among the announced titles. The two publishers rarely appear together on a single licensed device: until now, each got its own SKU in this kind of hardware, which makes the pairing unusual in the plug-and-play retro console segment.

That leaves the price. At 199 dollars, the Gamestation Retro Go sits above most licensed retro handhelds and squarely against far more versatile Android machines. Its case therefore rests entirely on the legitimacy of the included versions and the quality of the emulation, two points the manufacturer will detail before launch on its official site.
