Polymega App v0.7.24.1: your physical retro games are now playable on Steam Deck

Playmaji released version 0.7.24.1 of its Polymega app on June 30, 2026, flagged as a mandatory update for all existing users. The headline feature is official Steam Deck compatibility: Polymega Remix owners can now connect the USB peripheral to Valve’s handheld and access their personal library of digitized retro games, as well as titles from the Polymega Collection.

The Polymega Remix, shipping since spring 2026, is a USB device designed to digitize physical games across multiple console generations. It supports CD-based games from PlayStation, Saturn, Sega CD, TurboGrafx-CD, and Neo Geo CD, as well as cartridges from NES, SNES, Mega Drive, and TurboGrafx-16 via separately-sold Element Modules. This update addresses performance issues, improves the user interface, and adds support for Polymega Collection titles - the ecosystem’s equivalent of Evercade cartridges.

Steam Deck compatibility marks a turning point for physical game preservation: owners can now legally play their own CDs and cartridges on a modern handheld device. The application is still under active development. Several features remain pending - including offline mode, Nintendo 64 support, 4K output, and Atari Jaguar emulation - with resolution targeted within the Summer 2026 launch window.
