PS5 firmware 14.10: a jailbreak demo surfaces, but the exploit stays private
After the security fixes shipped with firmware 14.10, the PS5 scene has just received a new clue. Developer Gezine posted a short video on October 19, 2026, captioned "Hello 14.10", that reportedly shows access to the debug settings menu on a console running that version. According to early reports, including tbreak, it would be evidence of a new kernel exploit on the latest firmware.
Caution is needed, though: the exploit is private for now and nothing suggests Gezine plans to release it. No download is available, so this is by no means a usable jailbreak. TechPowerUp's report adds that the hypervisor is still holding up.
What the demo does not prove
Access to game files remains blocked: the method used so far to dump game executables reportedly fails on 14.xx firmwares, and a hypervisor exploit would probably be needed. The kernel exploit used on the 13.xx branch was also patched as early as firmware 14.00. The GTA 6 link that is circulating comes from datamined information suggesting the game would require firmware 14.10, not from a demonstration.
In short: if you are on firmware 13.60 or lower, the public Relapse exploit remains the only open path. Above all, do not update your console hoping for a future jailbreak, as there is no way back. This information can change quickly, so check your sources before doing anything (situation as of 10/22/2026).
