SN Operator: Epilogue launches a USB-C adapter to play your SNES cartridges on PC
Epilogue, the studio behind the GB Operator (for Game Boy), launches the SN Operator: a USB-C adapter that connects your SNES and Super Famicom cartridges to a PC, Mac or Linux to play them via legal emulation. Available at $59.99, it joins a range of accessories designed for collectors who want to play with their original cartridges.
Play legally with your own cartridges
Epilogue's philosophy is simple: if you physically own the game, you should be able to play it digitally. The SN Operator reads the ROM directly from the inserted cartridge, without persistent copying. It is compatible with Epilogue's dedicated PC software, available on Windows, macOS and Linux.
Notable additional functions:
- Counterfeit detection: the tool identifies non-authentic SNES cartridges.
- Data backup: export your saves directly from the cartridge to the PC.
- Retro accessories: support for Super Scope via mouse, allowing you to play SNES shooter games on a modern emulator.
Availability
The SN Operator is available for pre-order on the Epilogue website, with estimated delivery in July 2026. Epilogue previously launched the GB Operator for Game Boy and Game Boy Advance, which met with notable success in the retrogaming community.
