Snes9xTYL resurrects after 8 years, the benchmark SNES emulator for PSP and PS Vita is back
For PSP and PS Vita owners who play the Super Nintendo, Snes9xTYL has always been the reference. Until April 4, 2018, the date of its last official update. Since then, the project seemed doomed to remain frozen in time, until today.
⏰ 8 years without a line of code
Snes9xTYL was born from a long lineage of passionate developers, YoyoFR, Laxer3a, and then a series of community forks. At its heyday, it was the best performing and most versatile emulator for running Super Nintendo games on Sony handheld hardware. Then, like many homebrew projects, development simply stopped. For 8 years, users were getting by with old builds.
🔄 The revival of Bitter_Cry7001
