Super Pocket Activision Edition: the eighth handheld in the range celebrates Activision and Imagic's Atari 2600 classics
British publisher Blaze Entertainment's HyperMegaTech label announced the Super Pocket Activision Edition on July 8, 2026, the eighth entry in its range of miniature handhelds dedicated to Atari classics. Unlike the base Atari edition, this version spotlights the third-party catalogue of Activision and Imagic, two of the very first independent studios in video game history, born in the wake of the Atari 2600 in the late 1970s.
The handheld comes preloaded with 34 officially licensed games, including Pitfall!, Pitfall II: Lost Caverns, River Raid, River Raid II, H.E.R.O. and Kaboom!, alongside several Imagic titles never before gathered on a single device. On the hardware side, the Super Pocket Activision Edition follows the range's usual formula: a 2.8-inch IPS screen at 320x240, USB-C charging with a cable included, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and roughly four hours of battery life per charge.
Blaze notes that several games in the lineup, particularly some Imagic titles, had never been included in previous Atari compilations on the market, making this the most complete collection available on a dedicated device for exploring the Atari 2600 era's third-party catalogue.
The Super Pocket Activision Edition is available for pre-order at $69.99 ($59.99 launch price) on HyperMegaTech's official website, with a release date set for September 28, 2026.
