SuperStation One's Console Mode Launches Its First Major Beta This Week
Taki Udon's PlayStation 1 FPGA console, the SuperStation One, is about to hit a major milestone: the first major beta release of its exclusive custom interface, the Console Mode, is expected to launch during the week of June 9, 2026. This mode replaces the standard MiSTer interface to offer a far more accessible and customisable experience for players.
This inaugural beta brings a wealth of long-awaited features: RetroAchievements support, automatic artwork scraping for game covers, a screenshot viewer, two new library views, on-the-fly resolution switching, and per-game core override settings. Performance has been doubled compared to earlier builds. The console, priced at around $180, is built around the Cyclone V FPGA chip with 128MB of SDRAM and supports original PS1 controllers and memory cards.
A decisive step for an FPGA console aiming to bring hardware emulation to the mainstream
The SuperStation One is available to order on the official retroremake.co website. To get started with the console and learn how to configure Console Mode, Taki Udon's official setup resources are available directly from the Retro Remake product page.
