THE A1200: Retro Games Ltd Unveils a Full-Size Recreation of the Amiga 1200

After months of rumours and cryptic teasers, Retro Games Ltd, the British studio behind THEC64 and THEA500 Mini, has officially unveiled THE A1200, a full-size recreation of the 1992 Commodore Amiga 1200. Unlike the miniature versions of its previous machines, this new release reproduces the entire Amiga 1200 case at 1:1 scale, complete with a functional mechanical keyboard and a redesigned version of the original mouse, connecting to a display via a modern USB port for power and video.

The machine boots straight into Workbench, AmigaOS's classic graphical environment, and comes with 22 built-in games ready to play. A prototype video released by Retro Games Ltd shows the unit running Turrican and Defender of the Crown II, two iconic titles from the Amiga library, with smoothness that early viewers have praised.

"We didn't want to keep you waiting," explained the Retro Games Ltd team, justifying this early announcement after years of anticipation from Amiga fans.
