Makeo and Silver Steele launch the USB Dolphin, an adapter adding a USB 2.0 port to the Nintendo GameCube, compatible with Swiss and the emulated Broadband Adapter.

Two hardware developers, Makeo and Silver Steele, are launching the USB Dolphin: an adapter that adds a high-speed USB 2.0 port to Nintendo's GameCube. Shipping scheduled from June 3, 2026, the accessory opens new perspectives for lovers of the purple console.

Two versions for two uses

US B Dolphin is available in two variants:

  • SP1 Version: plugs into the SP1 expansion port of the GameCube, with a bonus support for the Ethernet via software emulation of the Broadband Adapter.
  • Slot A/BVersion: occupies one of the memory card slots, more discreet and com compatible with all GameCube models.

What is it for?

USB Dolphin works with Swiss, the reference homebrew loader for GameCube. It allows you to connect a USB key or an external hard drive to launch games directly from the USB storage, without referring to the SD Media Launcher or modified bios. A clean, reversible solution to access the entire GameCube library from a single device.
