Zelda Twilight Princess: a second native PC port “Dusk” announced, 120 FPS, multi-platform

Like the buses, Twilight Princess PC ports come in twos. After “Courage Reborn” revealed last week, a second project called “Dusk” has just announced its own version, targeting Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android with up to 120 FPS unlocked.

We thought we had seen it all with Twilight Princess: Courage Reborn announced a few days ago. Missed, there is a second native PC port in parallel development for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, called Twilight Princess: Dusk. Two distinct teams, two different approaches, the same game. Never seen in the Nintendo decompilations scene.

🌆 Dusk vs Courage Reborn, two parallel projects

As a reminder: the complete decompilation of the version GameCube of Twilight Princess was completed in late December 2025. Since then, two independent teams have taken this code to build their own native PC ports:

  • Courage Reborn (announced in early April ), privately developed on Discord, focused 60 FPS, 4K mods support, GitHub release planned at beta
  • Dusk (trailer released April 12), public announcement via YouTube trailer, targets Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and And roid, framerates up to unlocked 120 FPS

Both projects share the same base, the GameCube decompilation of 2025, but are developed by different teams with different philosophies. Courage Reborn prioritises discretion and solidity before publication. Dusk opts for public communication from the start.

📱 Dusk, multi-platform including mobile

What immediately distinguishes Dusk is its multi-platform ambition. Targeting iOS and Androidin addition to desktop platforms opens Twilight Princess to a much broader audience than just PC gamers. If the project keeps its promises, one could play Twilight Princess in 120 FPS on a phone, with the assets of one's own legal copy of the game. >Like all projects of this type, Dusk will not distribute any Nintendo assets: players will have to provide their own files from a copy equal to the GameCube game.

⚡ The race against Nintendo

Two PC ports in simultaneous development for the same game, is a double-edged edged sword. On the one hand, the community moves forth twice as fast. On the other, two visible projects increase the chances that Nintendo will become aware of their existence and take legal action. The community keeps their eyes open.
