Synopsis

“1942: The Pacific Air War” is based on the American-Japanese conflict in the Pacific Ocean after the attack on Pearl Harbor (exactly like its competitor “Pacific Strike” released at the same time). Once you have chosen your side, a whole list of missions is available to you. It is possible to select the density of the clouds and the take-off time, knowing that at night the cabin will be lit with a simple red light (less easily spotted by the enemy). You can carry out a mission individually, start a career as a pilot, or better: lead the aircraft carrier. This phase does not go through a simulator, you simply indicate the ship's heading on the map, and in the event of an attack you take control of a plane. Finally, “1942: The Pacific Air War” offers two always appreciable options: the video recorder which automatically records your performance (which you can save to watch again later) and the mission editor which allows you to build your own scenarios.
