Synopsis

A Ressha de Ikou is the first in a long series of transport network simulations, mainly known as A-Train.

The player controls the CEO of a railroad company in the late 19th century, who is entrusted by the president of an unnamed country to build a railroad that reaches its west coast. The game is played in real time, with a day/night cycle and a game world that changes regardless of the player's actions. Compared to its better-known sequels, A Ressha de Ikou has rather simple gameplay that is limited to building tracks for a single train line, the titular A train. A report is generated that shows the player's performance in competing against other networks.
