Synopsis

The successor to Pete Cooke's old space shooter leaves the Tau Ceti setting. Players step into the shoes of a student at an advanced pilot academy. They must solve 20 simulated missions on a multitude of planets.

Standalone missions mean that the game uses the structure and theme of Tau Ceti without the causality of earlier decisions having an influence on later decisions. This helps reduce management complexity. Although players can customize ships and even give them names of their choosing, they come with a wide variety of ships that should suit many different situations.

Whichever vehicle they choose, players control it in a first-person view and using a series of controls. All ships glide across the planet's surface and are equipped with weapons. Most missions involve destroying rogue robotic enemies. Players must dock with buildings to resupply or continue their journey to another planet.
