Synopsis

Adventure Island, also called Adventure Island Classic, is a platform video game released for the Gameboy. This game was developed by Hudson Soft.

A port of Sega's Wonder Boy arcade game for which Hudson Soft was responsible, it was decided during development to replace the main character of the original version with Hudson Soft's spokesperson: Takahashi Meijin. In the Western version of the game, it will be renamed Master Higgins.

Despite its title, Adventure Island is the second installment in the series (but the first to be released on the Gameboy). You play as a little caveman who sets out to rescue his friend who has been captured by aliens. You have a hammer to hit your enemies on the head.
