Synopsis

Adventure Island II is a side-scrolling platform game. The player controls a character who must reach the end of the level within a limited time. The character can jump, attack and ride various prehistoric animals. By collecting fruit, the player can gain time to finish the level, or break eggs which hold good and bad surprises. The game also offers an inventory system available at the start of each level, a rare occurrence in platform games of the time. This system allows players to store items kept from previous levels and reuse them in subsequent levels.
