Synopsis

Age of Hammer Wars lets you control a mechanical flying machine attached to a hammer - later upgrades let you attach a mace, swords, and other interesting melee weapons. The game is played almost exclusively on the analog stick: it offers both total control of your ship and the physics of its arsenal. So, moving the ship in a circular motion affects the physics of the swinging hammer, allowing you to attack an array of baddies. The movements and physics are quite fluid, but the feel of the attacks is quite weak while the controls are quite difficult and imprecise (on a single stick).
Aside from these issues though, this game is pretty decent. The dark industrial-romantic aesthetic is nice, and the game's fairly lengthy campaign provides some variety.
