Aleste

Base game MSX2+ Shoot'em Up 3.8/5 0

Do you like this game?

Synopsis

Aleste's story features the artificial supercomputer DIA 51, infected with a hybrid virus that spreads like wildfire, ultimately driving DIA 51 to wipe out humanity. When Yuri, Ray's girlfriend, is injured during the assault on DIA, Raymond Waizen has every reason in the world to get rid of DIA 51 for good aboard his fighter Aleste.

Aleste is more or less the sequel to Zanac, as it uses the same AI-generated enemy waves and weapon system. However, it inaugurates a whole new plot: evil plant creatures invade the planet, forcing you to fight monstrous vines and other evil plants. Scrolling is also significantly improved compared to the more choppy original Zanac MSX.
