Synopsis
Alone in the Dark is a video game developed and published by Infogrames and directed by Frédérick Raynal. Is this an adventure game? the first survival horror type? in 3D, released under DOS in 1992.
The story is inspired by the films of George A. Romero and the short stories of H. P. Lovecraft. It takes place in an old mansion in Louisiana, reputed to be haunted, whose owner recently killed himself. In the shoes of private detective Edward Carnby or Emily, the niece of the deceased, the player leads the investigation in the mansion.
