Synopsis

Androman on the Moon was one of several games planned for the unreleased Androman robot. Although some of the games have reportedly been scheduled, Androman on the Moon is the first to surface. Androman was a small white robot that scurried around on a floor mat while the player controlled it using the Atari 2600. Androman also had a barcode reader in the bottom that read barcodes placed on the board so the 2600 (and the robot) knew where it was.
Androman is mining minerals on the moon when he is attacked by aliens. The giant floor mat would have the locations of the mines, and the player would have to guide Androman towards them. Once Androman was on top of a mine, the 2600 showed the mine maze portion of the game. In the mine maze, the player must guide Androman (represented by an X) through the maze while avoiding the alien (represented by a green face).
