Arcadia System BIOS
Do you like this game?
Description
The Arcadia System is a multi-game arcade card developed by the Italian company Arcadia Systems in the late 1980s, based on the Commodore Amiga architecture. It allowed operators to offer several games (such as SportTime Table Hockey or World Darts) on the same cabinet thanks to interchangeable cartridges. This BIOS initializes the Amiga-type hardware (Motorola 68000 processor, graphics and sound chips) before loading the game from the inserted cartridge. The system illustrates the 1980s trend of recycling consumer computer hardware for the arcade.
