Synopsis

In Archon III: Exciter, the struggle between light and darkness unofficially continues in this unofficial, fan-made sequel to the cult game Archon. Never released or approved by Electronic Arts, the game was shared freely among players. Combat takes place between slow-moving sprites, without melee or ranged attacks. Each fighter generates a ring of "fire" that drains the opponent's health on contact. With no single-player mode or AI, the game offers an exclusively two-player experience: a minimalist reinterpretation of the Archon concept, focusing on timing, positioning and control.
