Arctic - Active Rail Playing
Synopsis
Arctic is an action-puzzle game that describes itself as an “active rail game.” Each of the more than two dozen levels is made up of a set of rails arranged in different ways, often looping and branching off in different directions. Each level contains colored balls that start in corresponding locations. After throwing them, the goal is to return them to locations of the same color. The player's only interaction with the board involves switching two sets of divisions: the yellow and blue divisions, which redirect the marbles that pass through them, and the player can only rotate all marbles of the same color as a group. Many levels also contain bumpers and doors that influence the speed and direction of the balls. Completing a puzzle often requires strategic use of the level's features to bounce the marbles onto the correct paths.
