Description

Although it borrows a lot from Xevious, a reference game in terms of vertical scrolling, Argus displays its own differences. The ship remains in the center of the screen and sideways movements of the joystick cause the ground to move in the opposite direction. The player can raise his ship to the top of the screen and lower it back to its initial position.
Other innovative concepts: bonus mazes and ground targets that must be bombed three times before releasing bonuses and special weapons.
A boss awaits you at the end of the level. Each has its weak point exposed intermittently and only a bomb will be enough to destroy it, however it will retreat after a certain time if the player cannot hit it. After the boss, you will have to perform a landing maneuver to obtain bonus points and a new weapon (per cycle of 5 combinations).
