Synopsis
Here are the facts, short and not very pleasant, like Lord Erebus himself. It seems Lady E is a fan of a certain Essex occultist. Why she got involved with an ophthalmologist, I don't know! Now Lord E has charged me with finding her: he says she is no longer in this world, and I have no desire to be in the next! His only advice: the entrance to the Stygian Shores, where our quest begins. I use “our” because you are there to guide and advise me. The second part of the Arnold Blackwood trilogy, perhaps the most extravagant, takes the action from the streets of Rochdale to the Beyond.
