Synopsis

Joe Yabuki, the protagonist of this story, is an ordinary man who was orphaned at a young age. With no hope for the future, Joe descends into delinquency, with no purpose in life. While roaming the underbelly of Tokyo, Joe comes to the aid of a child who is being bullied by a gangster. By a twist of fate, a failing boxing trainer named Danpei Tange witnesses the fight between Joe and the gangster. Danpei is convinced that Joe has the makings of a professional boxer. With the help of Danpei and others, Joe will evolve not only as a boxer, but also as a human being.

The game offers 8 opponents that Joe must defeat one after the other to progress. Everyone must be knocked out in the first round, otherwise Joe must restart the fight if he has any lives left (you have 3 lives, regardless of the difficulty level). The characters that Joe faces are all from the manga.
