Synopsis

Assassins Creed Syndicate is set in London, 1868. The Industrial Revolution sparks an incredible era of invention, transforming the lives of millions of people with technologies once thought impossible. The opportunities created during this period cause people to rush to London to engage in this new world, a world that is no longer controlled by kings, emperors, politicians or religion, but by a new common denominator: money.

However, not everyone can reap the benefits of this boom. Although they fuel the engine of the British Empire, workers' lives are little more than legalized slavery while the richest few percent profit from their labor. Living in poverty and dying young, the lower class unites in protest in the form of a new type of family, gangs, who turn to life underground in their struggle to survive. A struggle, until vigilant Assassins come to their side and reignite a centuries-old conflict involving London's rulers that will reverberate throughout modern history, from the underground to the top.
