Synopsis

A sequel to Target Earth, Leynos 2 (released only in Japan) places you in the cockpit of a mecha as you scroll and shoot your way through a series of 7 individual missions linked together by a generic sci-fi plot.

The game itself plays like a side-scrolling shooter set on different planets as well as space (where you can fly anywhere with your jets). You have a variety of upgradeable weapons that allow you to shoot anywhere on the screen as well as automatically lock on to individual enemies, and based on your performance in each stage you get a specific score that allows you to upgrade and customize your robot.
