Synopsis

A "Deluxe" version of the original Asteroids game. Asteroids Deluxe swaps vector graphics for bitmaps. The basic gameplay is still the same: you fly your triangular ship around a space that wraps around the edges, filled with asteroids. Shooting the asteroids splits them into two smaller ones, until they are small enough to destroy. If you run into an asteroid you are dead unless you activate your force field which will cause the ship to bounce off the asteroids. Sometimes a flying saucer flies across the screen, shooting everywhere. Additional asteroid shapes also appear, such as blue target-seeking hexes that split into small triangular missiles.
