Description

Ataxx is a slot machine (token) transposition of the game Infection. He had a great reputation. This is the reason why its name Ataxx was often used by the programmers who took over this game.

Ataxx's playing is often reminiscent of that of Reversi / Othello, because there are obvious points in common. First, a small board (8x8 for Reversi, 7x7 for Ataxx). Then simple rules for placing pieces (one mode in Reversi, two in Ataxx), pawns which turn around changing color (those which are "between" two opposing pawns in reversi, those "which touch" the opposing pawn for Ataxx). Finally, in both games, the winner is the one who ultimately has the most pawns of their color.
