Synopsis

Jeu de tir à la première personne écrit par Juri Munkki et publié par Ambrosia Software en 1996. Le joueur pilote un HECTOR, machine de combat bipède téléguidée dont le nom abrège Hostile Environment Combat and Tactical Operations Remote, armée de lasers, de missiles et de grenades, protégée par des boucliers. Jusqu'à six participants s'affrontent dans des arènes en trois dimensions aux facettes non texturées, sur un moteur rapide pour l'époque et un jeu en réseau intégré d'emblée, à un moment où cela restait exceptionnel. Un éditeur de niveaux accessible a permis à la communauté de produire ses propres cartes. Commercialement discret, le jeu a gardé un noyau fidèle de joueurs ; Munkki en a publié le code source en 2016, pour ses vingt ans.
