Synopsis

Battalion Commander is a real-time tactical simulation (section/company level) of modern warfare. The player plays a lieutenant colonel at the head of an American, Soviet or Chinese armored battalion. The game features 5 scenarios and 40 maps with varied terrain (rivers, hills, minefields), as well as infantry, tanks, IFVs, artillery, assault guns and other units. Orders are given by pointing to a point on the map with the cursor (using the joystick) and then pressing a key combination to select the action to be carried out by the company or section (fire support, smoke screen, bridge construction, trenches, etc.). A handicap can be defined for each side in order to adjust the difficulty.
