Synopsis

Battle Ships is an unofficial port of Battleship by Elite Systems Ltd.. Like the original, it is a computer version of the paper-based Battleship game. There are five ships for each player; they can rotate between eight angles (horizontal, vertical, and 45-degree diagonal), and some ships have a slightly more complex shape than a simple line.

As in the original, each turn the player, instead of shooting at a square, chooses a certain number of squares to shoot at (the more ships they have left, the more squares they can attack each turn). An animated sequence at the end of the round shows the shots being fired.

A two-player competitive mode is also available.
