Synopsis

Battle Unit for Sharp X68000 is an arcade-style vertical shoot'em up, focused entirely on action and scoring rather than a developed story. You embody the pilot of the “Battle Unit” combat unit, an advanced mobile weapon sent to contain a massive offensive by enemy forces threatening Earth or its space colonies. Through several vertical phases, you must fight your way through waves of ships, mechs, and automatic defenses, defeating mechanized bosses while collecting power-ups to increase your unit's firepower.
