Synopsis

The three Battletoads, Zitz, Rash and Pimple, are in Tibet to attend the presentation of the Psicone Gamescape, a virtual reality machine. Suddenly, a monster emerges from the game universe, takes over the daughter of the CEO of Psicone and Zitz, then takes them back to the Gamescape. Of course, Rash and Pimple will have to enter the Gamescape to save them.

Battletoads in Battlemaniacs is another game in Rare's Battletoads series. Much like its predecessor, it mixes fighting game elements (in the style of Double Dragon) with other types of gameplay, such as racing levels, "snake ride" levels and others. There are a few bonus levels between some of the normal levels, where the player can collect extra lives.

Friends can team up and defeat opponents together in the two available cooperative modes. In Mode A, players can hit each other, while in Mode B, they cannot.
