Synopsis

In a world where magic reigns, the witches of Umbra, mistresses of the forces of darkness, and the sages of Lumen, defenders of light, clash. Bayonetta, an attractive woman with a strong character and gifted with magical powers, is the last to master the mysteries of the Umbra. Twenty years earlier, she wakes up in a coffin submerged at the bottom of a lake. This is discovered by Luka's father, a journalist in pursuit of Bayonetta because he is convinced that it is she who is responsible for the death of his father, who died in mysterious circumstances. Unable to remember her past, Bayonetta continues to fight against the angels to stay alive with the assistance of Enzo, her favorite informant, and Rodin, a demon gunsmith and owner of a bar called the Gates of Hell.
