Beach-Head II
Synopsis
The dictator from the first Beach Head game is back, but World War II is over. Giving himself a new name, "The Dragon", he seeks revenge on the victorious Allied forces. To achieve his goals, he kidnaps hostages and brings them to his island fortress... Controlling either the forces of the Allied Commander (J.P. Stryler) or those of the Dictator (The Dragon), you will have to achieve objectives through four different sequences, each with different perspectives and controls. In sequence 1 "Attack", the allies invade the dictator's base with soldiers dropped from a helicopter. The allied forces must disembark their soldiers then advance them by taking cover on different walls. The dictator just has to shoot them with a machine gun.
In sequence 2 "Rescue", the hostages are rescued. The player controlling the allies will use the machine gun to defend the hostages as they cross the open courtyard. The Dictator can be deployed between four different weapons: Man on Top of the Wall, Tank, Truck and Trap, only one of which is on screen at any time. In sequence 3 "Escape", the hostages are loaded onto the helicopters. The allied player will choose how to place the hostages on the helicopters, then manage the controls, avoiding attacks. The dictator chooses the level of automated defense and then points his tanks at the helicopter. In the final sequence, "Battle", the Allied Commander and the dragon finally meet deep underground. They will throw poontas (throwing knives) at each other until only one is left standing.
