Synopsis

Beamrider is a 3D shoot'em up. You are at the controls of a spaceship in charge of defending the earth. Armed with lasers and torpedoes, a limited number of three per level, you progress across 99 sectors (levels) across a grid representing the shield supposed to protect the earth. Your ship moves on the horizontal line at the bottom of the screen and you can shoot, just like enemies, on each of the five vertical lines. After having defeated the fifty enemies that make up each level, you access the next one, the difficulty of which increases with new types of enemies every 16 sectors. The game is a port of the original released on Intellivision.
