Big Sea es una simulación de gestión mediocre sobre producción, comercio y conquista ambientada en un mundo de fantasía con dragones y magos, un escenario bastante inusual para este tipo de juego. Sin embargo, no hay mucho más que decir sobre el juego: se juega como un cruce entre Stronghold y Fantasy Empires de SSI, pero no es tan adictivo como ninguno de los dos juegos. Muchas pantallas de estadísticas estáticas hacen que el juego sea bastante aburrido con bastante rapidez, así que, a menos que te gusten los cálculos numéricos, mantente alejado de esta.
