Description
The Wide Boy is a development device designed by Intelligent Systems for Nintendo, never marketed to the general public, allowing to display Game Boy games on a TV via a modified Famicom/NES. It contained a real Game Boy circuit connected to NES hardware responsible for capturing and retransmitting the image on the big screen, mainly used internally for screenshots and press demonstrations or in store. Several generations have existed, including the Wide-Boy64 for Nintendo 64, capable of running Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games.
