Synopsis

Bitmania is a vertical scrolling shoot'em up where you travel across a screen destroying as many Bits as possible to reach the central core of your Commodore 64. Your ship is inside a data bus within the Neural Flow. You must shoot the Bits, who leave behind a capsule to destroy through several successive waves. Once a certain number of capsules have been destroyed, you move on to the next wave. Warning: if you are hit by a Bit, you lose one life in three. Before you start, you can choose the speed (from 1 to 3, 1 being the slowest) and the difficulty level (from 0 to 29). The higher the level, the more Bits there are on the screen.
