Synopsis

Rumor has it that the Black Tower near Utsuro Town contains the legendary Black Onyx, an artifact that grants eternal youth and good fortune to anyone who can find it. You gather a group of brave adventurers and venture into the tower to defeat monsters on your way to the great treasure.The Black Onyx is one of the first traditional role-playing games developed by a Japanese company. Its gameplay is similar to that of the early Wizardry and Ultima games, which involve killing monsters and exploring dungeons, and its graphics are dark and realistic. Players create a party (up to five members) and explore a 3D maze-like dungeon, fighting random enemies along the way. The heroes also meet adventurers whom they can convince to join their party. The combat engine is turn-based.
