Synopsis

The game follows the story of the manga from the beginning of the series, until Ichigo's victory over Ulquiorra Cifer. The game's story is told through voice and text. The game is an action adventure game in which the player controls a variety of characters. The objective of each mission is either to reach the end of the area or to defeat a boss. The player controls the character by side-scrolling. The number pad moves the character left or right while the square button triggers the character's main attack. The player will travel through three maps throughout the game. These maps are Karakura Town, Soul Society and Hueco Mundo. Although Karakura Town is the only area available at the start of the game, the player unlocks other areas as they progress through the game. Most missions are played while controlling Ichigo. There are more missions to unlock where the player controls other characters throughout the story. These missions are optional, however, and the story can be completed only as Ichigo. There is a whole series of side missions in which the player can hope to increase the level of their character by taking them into more dangerous territory.
