Synopsis

DJ simulation game from Konami's BEMANI series. Beatmania IIDX tasks the player with performing songs using a controller consisting of seven buttons and a turntable. By hitting the notes with good timing, the player increases their score and groove gauge, allowing them to complete the stage.
Upon failure, the gauge depletes until it is empty, abruptly ending the song. The basic gameplay remains the same in 7th Style. 5-key mode is no longer a difficulty but a modifier in its own right, allowing it to be used at any difficulty level, just like with normal maps. A new mode derived from Expert mode has also appeared, Daninintei (Class) mode, a mode containing a series of courses ranked so that each course is more difficult than the last, the highest course a player can beat in Dan mode is often used to compare players. Dan Mode has been widely integrated into future styles implementing the e-Amusement system, which can save a player's rank, and can also restrict access to specific songs based on their current rank.
