Synopsis

Bongo is a single-screen platformer very similar to Popeye. You control Bongo the rat who moves around the screen collecting gems while escaping the bad guy chasing him. You can teleport Bongo to different places on the screen by standing on the letters of his name (B O N G O) and pressing the fire button. Levels contain ladders that can be moved up and down, slides that take Bongo down, and conveyor belts that can slow down or speed up his movements. Only one gem is visible at a time. After collecting five gems, Bongo saves his girlfriend and moves to the next level. Bonus letters marked “Bongo” can also be collected.
